Free Homeward Bound Bus Rides for Students

HSU is offering free rides for students on HSU's Homeward Bound Bus, thanks to expanded funding for Basic Needs.

The bus makes stops in San Francisco and Los Angeles and is intended to provide transportation to students who would not otherwise be able to afford to travel. For Fall break, the bus leaves campus on November 20 and returns on November 27. Sign-ups go live on November 8th at 6:00 p.m. and are on a first come, first…

Fall 2021

A bit disappointed that only 30-40% of classes will be in-person for HSU in Fall 2021 according to the press release.  It sounds like a repeat of Fall 2020....those classes were only for specialized art, oceanography and a few other majors.  I actually think some of the other CSUs will have more in-person/hybrid classes, and even today February 10 the CSU Chancellor announced "over 50%".  I am not sure if your student is happy with this or not or if students/parents have any voice about how…

Art Hallway in motion

Art Hallway in motion

David White earned a graduate degree in Art from Humboldt State University in the late 1980’s. At the time he constructed a colorful, biomorphic sculptural installation, modifying a hallway in the Art Department at Humboldt. His installation was meant to only stay up for 6 months, yet remains intact to this day. This installation is popular among Cal Poly Humboldt students and faculty and is one of the highlights during campus tours of the university.
