Humboldt State University is welcoming back thousands of students today, March 26, and they are all utilizing virtual instruction and support services. In addition to health and safety, the University has prioritized efforts to help students continue making progress toward their degrees. Guidelines on Health and Returning to Campus

The health and wellbeing of our campus community continues to be HSU’s priority as the University transitions into virtual operations and alternative modes of instruction. 

As a reminder, anyone returning to campus is encouraged to follow HSU travel guidelines, based on the international and domestic travel guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control.

Free Buses Available for Students Returning Home

There will be free chartered buses from HSU to San Francisco and Los Angeles leaving Monday, March 23 at 7:30 a.m. 

The buses will only be filled at half capacity to allow students social distancing from one another, as well as for students to bring their belongings. 

There is currently enough space for 28 students. Seats are first come first serve and students will be notified if they received a seat by Saturday, March 21. If there is enough demand by Saturday, March 21 by…

Rules of the Network

This is a place for parents and families with students at Humboldt State University to share experiences and learn from each other. Please follow these simple rules to keep the site welcoming and useful for everyone.

  • Be nice. Respect others, be ethical, and avoid posts that may be seen as personally offensive.
  • Be smart. Don’t post nudity, harassment, excessive violence, or anything that promotes illegal activity.
  • Respect student privacy. Don’t post your student’s personal information, like grades or Social Security number.

HSU staff members don’t monitor all postings and profiles on the site. However, they check in occasionally and respond to comments and complaints. If necessary, they will send a private message to a user. After that, users who continue disruptive behavior may have their access to the site suspended.
