Off Campus housing

Does anyone have experience with off campus housing?  My Freshman wants to live off campus next year with some friends.  He will have a car.  I'm afraid he will get in a situation where he has no place to live if he doesn't register for on campus housing which starts tomorrow! If he does move off campus, when is a good time to look for places? Now? or this summer? Thanks for any advice.See More
