"My daughter went through a bit of an adjustment period, but seems to be finding her footing and she is beginning to understand the type of workload she wants in the future. Online classes were definitely an adjustment for her."

Rules of the Network

This is a place for parents and families with students at Humboldt State University to share experiences and learn from each other. Please follow these simple rules to keep the site welcoming and useful for everyone.

  • Be nice. Respect others, be ethical, and avoid posts that may be seen as personally offensive.
  • Be smart. Don’t post nudity, harassment, excessive violence, or anything that promotes illegal activity.
  • Respect student privacy. Don’t post your student’s personal information, like grades or Social Security number.

HSU staff members don’t monitor all postings and profiles on the site. However, they check in occasionally and respond to comments and complaints. If necessary, they will send a private message to a user. After that, users who continue disruptive behavior may have their access to the site suspended.
